Iva Tesorio grew up in Slovakia where she received an artistic education from an early age.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, she arrived in France with a doctorate in fine arts education in her pocket. She moved to the south of France and worked in graphic design, teaching and illustration.
At the same time, she continues her personal work in oil and wax painting.
Shortly after studying art, she left her native Slovakia and settled in the South of France.
In her paintings on simple subjects Iva Teserio likes to cultivate ambiguity, to create scenes of apparent simplicity but which do not give up their secret.
In general, his work deals with the passage of time. With the layers of paint which are superimposed, which are erased, resumed, reappear in traces, even minute ones, they contribute to this reflection on time, like strata of memories, like a peeling wall which always provides an emotion because each scale seems the memory of a lived moment.
